BECOMING A MENTOR
Becoming a mentor will require the following:
All prospective mentors will be required to have an enhanced DBS check carried out on them, which is a background check on any criminal convictions you may have. This form will be attainable and paid for by the Student Guild.
Safeguarding training provided by the Student Guild will be a compulsory requirement also. This training will be two hours on one day, dates will be set by the Guild and students can sign up to a convenient day/time. This will be followed by specific mentor training given by the Avolve committee.
Lastly, we will require you to fill out a short form with some questions of interest and send us your University timetable. We will then match you with a mentee who we think you will be suited to, at a time that won't conflict with your lessons.
